普拉布·平加利
國(guó)際與發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)家、國(guó)際與發(fā)展政策專(zhuān)家。美國(guó)康奈爾大學(xué)戴森應(yīng)用經(jīng)濟(jì)與管理學(xué)院教授兼營(yíng)養(yǎng)學(xué)部教授、全球發(fā)展系教授，塔塔-康奈爾農(nóng)業(yè)與營(yíng)養(yǎng)研究所創(chuàng)始所長(zhǎng)。他的研究重點(diǎn)在農(nóng)業(yè)、食物體系和營(yíng)養(yǎng)及其相互關(guān)系，四十余年深耕于發(fā)展中國(guó)家的食物和農(nóng)業(yè)政策、技術(shù)變革和影響評(píng)估等領(lǐng)域，在南亞和東南亞、撒哈拉以南非洲和拉丁美洲都有豐富的實(shí)地研究經(jīng)驗(yàn)。作為塔塔-康奈爾農(nóng)業(yè)與營(yíng)養(yǎng)研究所創(chuàng)始所長(zhǎng)，他組織主持的多學(xué)科行動(dòng)計(jì)劃專(zhuān)注于持續(xù)的農(nóng)村貧困與營(yíng)養(yǎng)不良問(wèn)題，以及農(nóng)業(yè)在緩解這些問(wèn)題方面的作用。
Prabhu Pingali
Professor in the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University, the Founding Director of the Tata-Cornell Institute for Agriculture and Nutrition (TCI) and a joint appointment in both the Division of Nutritional Sciences and Department of Global Development. His current research is focused on the nexus of agriculture, food systems and nutrition. Prabhu has four decades of experience working on food and agricultural policy, technology change and impact assessment across the developing world. He has had on-the-ground research experience in South and Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America. As Director of TCI, Prabhu has been charged with developing and managing a multidisciplinary action-research program that is focused on the chronic problems of rural poverty and malnutrition and the role of agriculture in alleviating the problems.
